Tamara is an artist with extensive life experiences. She was born in Georgia, went to a medical school in Moscow, had a PhD in medicine and worked as a lecturer at the medical school, teaching Anatomy.
In 1991she and her family relocated to the UK. She worked in shops as a sale assistant, as a technician at the university and finally as a science teacher at school.
Tamara does not have a degree in art and only started painting five years ago after a tragic event, the death of her husband. She has though attended a numerous courses at the Art Academy in London and at Exeter Phoenix in Exeter, learning how to use different media, perspective and portraiture and continues occasionally to go to different classes, including abstract expressionist artist Patrick Jones classes. She is a member of Abstract Art Group in Exeter, Devon Artists Network and Exeter Cultural Partnership.
January 2017 Special Merit Category Award. This has been awarded by Light Space & Time online gallery for my painting "Autumn tree" in online competition "All Women".

May 2016 Open Studio as part of the Exeter Art Week event.
